The Research Project Resource Guide (RPRG) is a joint project between WID and ACI. Its audience is UW-Madison faculty, staff, and student researchers and its purpose is to describe on and off campus resources available for each phase and step of a research project. To prevent content from becoming outdated, this site uses direct links to resources for the latest information on services or best practices. More information on the background of the RPRG can be found in WID’s Press Releases:

The Acronyms overview page contains acronyms that are found throughout the site; it has been developed to make understanding the site easier.

There is a Software overview chart with software that may be helpful for different aspects of the research process.

Please suggest useful resources, topics, or software packages to help us stay current.
